Community Christian School is dedicated to developing Christian student athletes, instilling in them values that are in keeping with the character of Christ while challenging them to compete at their highest level, promoting lifelong fitness, and creating a positive and rewarding athletic experience.  We take pride in the performance, dedication and attitude of our athletes, and are striving to help them become good stewards of their bodies - the living temple of the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?  You are not your own; you were bought at a price.  Therefore honor God with your body."

It is the purpose of CCS athletics to help fulfill the vision of Community Christian School - Disciple, Develop, Discover.  Sports are an instrumental channel for fostering Christian character and a disciplined lifestyle.   We feel that our sports should revolve around the following characteristics in order to glorify God in our athletics:

  • Character.  Athletics provide an opportunity to develop Christian Character and can help develop and strengthen various character qualities such as patience, kindness, faithfulness, humility, self-control and endurance.
  • Witness.  We believe that our athletes, fans and coaches should be a witness for our Lord Jesus Christ both on and off the field.  Our most effective witness is our attitudes.  We believe there should be a distinct difference in the attitudes of our teams.
  • Quality Programs.  It is our goal to provide a variety of quality athletic programs for student participation.
  • Support.  In order for an athletic program to be successful, we need a support system from our coaches, parents, faculty and staff.  We believe that parental involvement is invaluable to the success of our athletic programs.

Community Christian school participates in the Florida Christian Athletic Conference, which allows our Junior and Varsity Basketball teams to compete in the IAAF "Independent Athletic Association of Florida" State Tournaments.
